God’s Country Waimanalo was fortunate to have programs offered by Nãnãkuli Housing Corporation.  The wonderful people not only helped to train the people in our community, but they also helped us to repair and replace our doors and screens at our Waimanalo Quarry Facility with donated materials from NHC’s Baseyard Hawaii.  Our building has seen its’ days, but with a little ALOHA and TLC it has become an integral part of our community.  Keep up the great work!  Mahalo to all of you at Nãnãkuli Housing Corporation.  We love you!  God Bless!

They had experienced teachers in various trades from workplace safety to electrical wiring and everything in between, preparing us for the steps involved in constructing a new home.  NHC staff and trainers where always pleasant and helpful with any questions we had.

Aloha, I just wanted to thank Nãnãkuli Housing Corporation, its’ workers and volunteers for the great program you offered to the families on Hawaiian Home Lands. If we hadn’t heard about your great program, I would have not known how we would afford to make room in our house for my new granddaughter. Because of the home repair and maintenance classes and the timely delivery of materials supplied by NHC, we were able to build an extension to my daughter’s bedroom.
We have so many in one house getting enough hot water was a big problem.  We had a 40-gallon tank and our electric bill was in the $700.00 range. Thank God for a special grant that NHC received for solar systems, which my family and others in the same situation had installed. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.  Learn more...

I hope that NHC will continue to help other native Hawaiian families to become homeowners. I know that my family and I still have a lot to learn and a long road ahead of us.   The workshop taught me that home ownership is a journey. Thank you for giving us hope and the tools for that journey. Read more...
